Ronald is official our pet friendly van, perfect for bringing your four-legged friend along on your KG Campervan adventure. However If Ronald is booked on the dates you want to go, give as a call and we'll see what we can do.
Superbly laid out kitchen area – the Cramer two-burner gas hob is really efficient and importantly, both sink and hob have glass tops, giving you plenty of usable worktop space. There’s also an external gas point so you can choose to add a gas BBQ for more outdoor cooking! The Cramer stainless steel sink has an electric water pump, with a 50litres on-board fresh water tank which is more than enough for a few days use. There’s also an on-board waste water tank. We know that being able to cater really well on a campervan holiday is an important part of the whole experience. You’ll have a full range of cutlery, crockery, pans, and even a kettle which sits on the gas burner! We also make sure you’ve got the little things which make all the difference – like having a good chopping board, a decent size colander, peeler and graters, and at least one very sharp cook’s knife.
The good-sized Waeco fridge has 40litres of well-designed space, and a small compact freezer compartment. Flexibility is the key with the table layout. We provide a good sized, fix on table which can be easily erected inside the campervan. There is also a second swing-out table, so four people can sit comfortably and eat together.
The main bed is a ‘rock ‘n’ roll’ design, which means that transforming the rear bench seat into a bed is simplicity itself – just pull the seat base forwards and the four cushions slide flat, creating a very comfortable 6′ x 4′ (1.83m x 1.22m) double bed. During the day, the double bed in the elevating roof campervans folds up into the roof itself. At night, two simple catches release the roof bed to create a 6′ x 3’7″ double bed (1.83m x 1.1m), which is really easy to climb up into, and is complete with a really comfortable built-in mattress.
Ronald is fitted with a awning rail to enable a drive away awning to be fitted to the van which sleeps and a extra 2 adults, the awning is really easy to erect.
There is plenty of storage space around the campervan – the generous cupboard spaces and also the deep wardrobe where you can hang clothes or just store things loose. It’s also easy to store things on the rear-facing part of the bench seat, and you can access them easily from the rear door of the campervan or from inside.
The campervans have two batteries – a normal car battery, and a second, 85Ah leisure battery. The leisure battery powers the fridge, water pump, lights, 12v socket and the radio/CD player. It has enough ‘juice’ in it for a good 2-3 days ‘wild camping’. As soon as you’re driving, the leisure battery is re-charged by the car battery. When you’re at a campsite with a 240v supply, simply plug the hook-up power cable into the van, and you’ll have all the power you need, including being able to use the normal 240v electric socket in the campervan.
All our campervans have a Webasto hot air heater, which works whether the campervan is hooked up to the mains, or running off the leisure battery. It’s a really powerful heater and will get the campervan toasty warm in just a couple of minutes.
Finally, the campervans come with a single electric tow bar. This gives you the flexibility to choose whether you want to use a rear-mounted bike rack, which can carry up to four bikes.
